The atmosphere is great, the marinas and views of the bay are lovely. Accessibility is great and you are walking distance to alot. Cassies Beach is wonderful and clean - perfect for families with kids. Sam's Pizza is absolutely divine for a full belly feed at a reasonable price. The BoatShed had amazing fresh fish and chips! Unfortunately most businesses and restaurants are closed on Sundays and it is hard to find somewhere to dine.

I didn't see too much of Batemans Bay while I was there because I spent most of my time there at the motel where I stayed at. I did spend up to 2-3 hours there after I'd checked out of the motel before I continued on my trip to Sydney. I felt upon leaving that I didn't need to spend any more time there than what I already had.

Batemans Bay is a great place to stay for the weekend! We ate at the Catalina Country Club which had great food, reasonable prices and great entertainment. Staff at the club arranged a taxi/ bus to help us get back to our motel after dinner, without a fuss. Couldn’t fault them. I would recommend Batemans Bay and the Catalina Country Club to others.

Lovely area. We walked to most places. We had breakfast at the local restaurants, excellent food at all the restaurants. We went on an evening cruise along the Clyde river, very relaxing. Perfect weather. There are beautiful sculptures along the foreshore that are lit up at night. Lovely to walk along there in the evening. Very friendly local people. The Catalina Country club is superb! Excellent food, service, bar, beautiful views of the golf course. I had an excellent whole lobster for dinner. We'll definitely go back there.

Very picturesque location, with all of the many amenities of a large centre. Also close enough for day trips to narooma, Moruya, Ulladulla. Great fish and chips at the Boatshed, along with a very pleasant three hour cruise. The Soldiers Club is also worth a visit for great food at a reasonable price.

Batemans Bay and it surrounds is very layed back and a great place for families, it offers an array of spectacular bays and rock formations. The cafes and restaurant in the area offer a range of different foods, the only thing about Batemans Bay is that everything closes very early.
